jim steinman parçalardan birini yazdıktan sonra melodisini çok beğenmiş olacak ki "ben bu melodiden iki ayrı şarkı yapsam ikisi de şampiyonluğa oynar hacı" demiş ve birbirine çok benzeyen bu iki parçayı, yani total eclipse of the heart ve making love out of nothing at all'ı yazıp isimlerini kısaltmayı bir kere bile düşünmeden bonnie tyler ve air supply'a teslim etmiştir. ve steinman'ın iddiasını kanıtlarcasına parçalardan biri listebaşı olmuşken, diğeri ise ikinci sırayı almıştır. konumuz ikinci olan şarkı olduğuna göre şunu diyeyim, bonnie tyler'ınki her ne kadar bugün klasik olarak kabul edilse de, air supply'ın söylediği bu şarkının hiç de ikinciliği hak eden bi yanı yoktur. insanlık ve müzik tarihi birincilik payesini o müthiş nakaratı sayesinde bonni tyler'ın eclipse'ine verse de, benim gönlümde zirve 3:10'da başlayan kısmıyla bilikte sonuna kadar çoşturan meki laav adov natin ee dol'undur.

total eclipse of the heart ile aynı besteciye aittir. listelerde ve popülerlikte total eclipse of the heart daha başarılı olmuştur. ancak making love out of nothing at all içinde barındığı güzel gitar solosuyla, bana göre burun farkıyla öndedir.

geçen gün, uzunca bir zamanımı internetten düzgün bir cover'ını bulmaya adadığım şarkı.
dedim illa ki, şöyle sakincene, yaz akşamlarına uygun, loop'a alıp komşu delirtmelik bir versiyonunu bulabilirim.
gördüm ki şarkıyı söylerken tıkanmayan bir allah'ın vokalisti yok.
karaokelik değil yani. denemeyin.
ama gitar solosu güzel.
