Charade (~ Öldüren süphe) ' Filminin Konusu : Regina (Audrey Hepburn), kocasının ikisine ait olan bütün parayı son kuruşuna kadar nakide çevirdiğini ve bir cinayete kurban gittiğini öğrendiğinde kocasından boşanmak üzeredir. Üstüne üstlük bu para da kayıptır. Regina, her 15 dakikada bir ismini değiştiren ve kocasının maaşından çalmış olması muhtemel olan ve ondan çok parasıyla ilgilenen Peter Joshua ile tanışır. Peter’in şuç ortakları da onların da parası çalındığı için paranın nerede olduğuyla çok ilgilidir. Herkes Regina’nın paranın nerede olduğunu bildiğini düşünmektedir. Paranın peşinde olanlar ölmeye başlayınca işler daha gerilimli bir hal almaya başlar.
