konu ve karakterler bibbirlerine sokularak esrarengiz,şaşırtmacalı bison etkisi verilmeye çabalanmış ama başarılamamış film.az karakter olması ve bu karakterlerin birbirleri hakkında hissettiklerinin bilinmesi filmin sonunun süpriz olması önlemiş.
kenneth branagh'ya saygımız sonsuz ama olmamış
kendisini shakespeare uyarlamalarında görmeyi tercih etmekteyim

dream theater'ın scenes from a memory albümündeki konsepti hafiften arakladığı, çok başarılı bi çıkış fikrine sahip, sonuna kadar enterasanlığını korumasını bilen ama eksik yanları da olan bi film.

film cok iyi hostur, genc yasta izlenirse etkilidir de. strauss ailesinin drami pek esrarli bicimde anlatilir film boyunca. bir de arada hikayeden bagimsiz güzel sürprizleri vardir harika bir robin willliams, karizma bir andy garcia gibi. amma velakin son sahnelerindeki aksiyon sahneleri yavan kalmistir, sindirilememistir bir türlü.

gerilim filmi olarak izlenirse başarısı tartışılır, fakat gerçekte olduğu üzere bir kara mizah ürünü olarak izlendiğinde son derece başarılı bir film. mizah ve parodi öğesi filmin başında belli olmasa da ilerledikçe ortaya çıkıyor ve robin williams'ın karakterinin ortaya çıkışından sonra da anlayamayanlar için filmin sonundaki abartı ile doruk noktasına ulaşıyor. sonuç: hala inatla filmden korkmaya çalışanlar -kenneth abimin bir mühendis titizliği ile hazırladığı tuzağa düşerek- pek tabii ki beğenmiyorlar ve fakat ingiliz komedisine biraz aşina olanlar son derece keyif alarak çıkıyorlar filmden. kısacası, filmdeki o "şaşırtmaca" taktiği, gerçekte filmin janrı ve mesajını içeren meta-şaşırtmacayı perdelemek için kullanılmaktadır. alkışlıyorum (ya da şizofrenim)...
