birkaç gün önce tanımama rağmen sanki yıllardır onları biliyormuşum ve dinliyormuşum gibi bir his uyandırdılar bende. oldukça hoş melodileri ve çok da iyi bir vokalleri var. zaman zaman the magic numbers tadını veriyorlar bana.

portland kökenli, indie rock türünde müzik yapan bu hoş insanlar, 2005 tarihli you came here for sunset last year isimli ep'den sonra 2006 yılında ilk albümleri centuries before love and war'ı çıkarmışlar.

ki bu albümdeki say hello adındaki harika şarkı sayesinde tanıdım kendilerini.
ve say hello gibi bir güzelliğin yanında centuries, movies of antarctica, with you, arithmatik gibi hoş şarkılarla iyi bir grup olduklarını ispatlıyorlar.

centuries before love and war gibi güzeller güzeli bir albüme rağmen çok fazla ilgi görmediler belki.
şimdi yeni albümleri gün itibarıyla itunes üzerinden alıcıya çıkan a time for lions.

albüm ismine ısınamadığımdan mı bilmiyorum, yeni albümle ilgili tek dinleyebildiğim ilk single racing lights'ı da pek sevememiştim başlarda. şimdi değişti hislerim.

iyi müzik yapıyor bu adamlar.

belle and sebastian'ın if you're feeling sinister albümünün giriş şarkısı. albümün geri kalanı kadar güzel bi şarkı. atlet bir kızın merak uyandıran maceralarını anlatıyor. bu grubun anlattığı kızların hayatlarıyla ben niye kahroluyorum, onu bilmiyorum.
