gerçekte brenda diye bir kız yoktur. brenda bir temsildir, genç yaşta hamile kalan kızların bir temsili... tupac shakur bu şarkıyı yazarken ki amacı, genç yaşta hamile kalan kızların çaresizliğini ve bu çaresizliğin hem kızlara hem de ailelerine yaşattığı kaotik durumu önplana çıkarmaktan ibarettir. peki demet akalın'ın sosyal mesaj veren şarkı yapmasından farkı nedir tupac'ın yaptığının? tek farkı bu konuya olan duyarlılığı ve zamanın gettosunda yaşayan küçük kızların bilinçlenmesi için yaptığı büyük miktardaki parasal yardımlardır. adamın olayı bu ya; laf değil eylem! şarkının 90'larda yazıldığını da hesaba katmak gerekiyor, şimdilerde amerika'da durum nasıl bilmiyorum.
