şarkının koro kısmının başlangıcıyla, somewhere over the rainbow'un nakaratının başlangıcı birbirine benzer. bowie 19 ağustos 1972 tarihli, londra, "rainbow theatre" konserinde starman'ı söylerken "there's a starman..." kısmından hemen sonra "...over the rainbow" deyivererek dinleyenine göz kırpmıştır.
