bilim kurgu, western, romantik, polisiye, doğa üstü olaylar ve korku türlerinde kitaplar yazmış olan yazar, ölümüne kadar olan yazarlık kariyerine 15 yaşında başlamıştır. 11 temmuz 1910 da chester ingilterede doğmuş 27 haziran 2004 te vero beach floridada hayatını kaybetmiştir.
