300 yaşına kadar yaşamayı planlarken (bir kaç sene önce geçirdiği felçten sonra en azından bernard shaw gibi 93 yaşına kadar yaşamak istediğini söylemişti) 2013 aralık ayında 82 yaşında hayatını kaybeden muhtemelen dünyanın en çok okuyan ve en çok yazan yazarı/düşünürüdür.
genellikle sıradışı konuları kaleme alsa da bu colin wilson'ın yazdığı kitaplarının konularını açıklamak için yetersiz kalır. kayıp kıta atlantisten, ölüm sonrası yaşama, cinsel yaşamdan, seri katillere, uzaylıların tarafından kaçırılan insanlardan, varoluşçuluğa kadar ilgisini çeken her türlü konuda; detaylı araştırmalarını, insanlara kabul ettirememekten yakındığı dehası ile harmanlayarak, akıcı ve kolay anlaşılır kitaplar yazmıştır.

dehayı uyumsuzlukta bulup, hayat boyu bir uyumsuz olarak kalmasından dolayı yazdığı 120'den fazla kitaba rağmen, ilk kitabı uyumsuzlar (outsider) dışında edebiyat ve akademi çevrelerinde pek dikkate alınmamıştır.

from atlantis to the sphynx kitabını bitirdiğim yazar.

yarı bilimsel yarı okült yarı kurgu diyebiliriz.

çıkarımlarının çoğu güzel, bazıları saçma, bazıları ise sinir bozucu. ama yine de denemeden geçmeyin derim.

bulursam başka kitaplarını da okumak isterim doğrusu.
